This course presents the basic values and theories of social work. Students will acquire an understanding of the beliefs, information and morals which form the base for social work practice, social work as an occupation, and the role of the social worker in current society. With the help of this course youโll gain knowledge and understanding of the social work profession and the current status, trends, and issues in the field and relevant skills to apply the knowledge, values, and skills of generalist social work practice to individuals, families, groups, organizations, and communities.
